We have completed our MEAP testing. Students did a nice job of coming in and working extra hard on those days. It was a stressful time for everyone and we are all happy to be done with that. Now we wait for the results to help us determine areas that need more instructional focus. Be sure to thank your child’s teacher(s) for the hard work that they do to prepare our students for their future.
|
|
|
Please remember not to wait in the hallways for your children at the end of the day unless it is out front by the office. This is for the safety of our staff and students as well as to preserve the educational process until the end of the school day.

We know that times are tough for everyone so we appreciate your participation even more in these times.

Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year. I am Mrs. Warren and I am the new Peck Elementary Principal. I am excited to be a part of the Peck staff. We have gotten off to a great start this year and I am enjoying getting to know so many new people. Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome.
I am married with three children (William who is 6, Andrew who is 4, and Claire who is 14 months). My husband’s name is Tim and we live Croswell. I taught in the Croswell-Lexington school district for 8 years, 5 years in special education and 3 years in 3rd grade. I then spent two years in Port Huron Area School District as an Elementary Assistant Principal. After that I was the Elementary principal in Bentley Community Schools in Burton. I have now made the move to Peck Community Schools and am proud to be a Peck Pirate. I hope to spend many wonderful years helping to provide a quality education for our students.
Please feel free to stop in any time with questions, comments, or ideas. I will do my best to make time for you. Once again, I am looking forward to a great year.

On behalf of the Peck Jr/Sr High School staff I would like to welcome back our students. I hope that everyone had a great summer! With the beginning of the new school year there is always anticipation and excitement of what the new year will bring. With the change to trimesters for grades 7 – 12 students will spend more time in each of their classes but will have fewer classes per day. We hope that this will assist students with their academics and help them to have a successful 2008-09 school year. Best wishes to all. Mr. Roles

Next fall the student schedules will look a little different as Peck Jr/Sr High School will be converting to a Trimester schedule from the current semester schedule. In a Trimester system the school year is divided into thirds. A semester is 18 weeks long, a Trimester is 12 weeks long and the overall length of the school year will be the same. Also, in the new Trimester format students in the Jr/Sr High School will take only five classes a day as opposed to the seven periods a day they presently have. Class times will be longer in the five class period system and the overall length of the day will not change. All of this change is being done to benefit the students at Peck Jr/Sr High School. If you have questions with regard to Trimester scheduling at Peck Jr/Sr High School please feel free to call the high school office at 810-378-5200.
