Sophomore Caleb Lentner is a member of the USA Weightlifting Association and Michigan Weightlifting Federation. Both associations promote the safe development of student-athletes in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting.

In May, Caleb competed in a virtual qualifier due to the pandemic.  Caleb submitted video of himself performing the compulsory lifts to be judged.  He was awarded 1st place in his age group and 1st overall in the youth category. In June, Lentner competed in another virtual event, competing against lifters from across the United States. Caleb finished 2nd in the event.

On July 26th, Caleb attended the Stars, Stripes, and White Lights Event in Ann Arbor and placed 1st in his age division. That performance qualified Caleb to compete in the State Championships in Port Huron. Caleb was the state champion in his age division and finished the meet in third place overall.  Lentner's state championship qualified him to compete in the USA Youth Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia.

Caleb is the current State of Michigan record holder for his age group in three categories:

Snatch-85 KG (187 lbs.)
Clean&Jerk-105KG (231 lbs.)
Total-190 KG (418 lbs.)
