Hello, 10th-12th grade! This is a final reminder that all of our sophomores, juniors and seniors will be headed to Cros-Lex tomorrow for their annual career fair. In keeping with their school policies, we will be following the same rules as a district. No students will be allowed to wear hats, have cell phones, or wear Halloween costumes at the event. We are looking forward to a great morning!

Hello 6th-12th grade parents and Pirates. I have several important announcements about tomorrow's dress code. Many students have asked if they can wear Halloween costumes tomorrow. Administration has decided that students may wear costumes that are school appropriate, do not cover their face, have any weapons, or have any blood or gore. They may not have face paint or anything else that would conceal their identity. However, our entire 10th, 11th, and 12th grade classes will be headed to a career fair and must be dressed for that occasion.

Tomorrow we will be having the costume parade at 2 p.m. on the playground. Student will be permitted to wear their costumes to school. Parents are more than welcome to come watch the parade. Once the parade is over if you want to sign your student out early you will need to go to the student's classroom to sign them out. Parents will not be allowed to enter early to help dress the student so please have a costume for your student that they will be able to put on themselves. toy weapons , and gore are not permitted in the school. We are very excited to see all of the kids dressed up!

The Peck Community School district recognizes Wayne Smith as our October Staff member of the month. Wayne has worked maintenance in Peck for 5 years. Wayne is our go-to behind the scenes person in our district. Wayne spends countless hours fixing everything that is broken, painting the athletic fields, and setting up for events and games happening in the district. Wayne is always cheerful, polite, and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Wayne is always first to volunteer to participate in school activities as well, showing everyone his excellent basketball skills and being the leading scorer in the staff versus students basketball game during the Homecoming assemblies. Wayne is a great asset to our district and we are so lucky to have him on our staff. Keep up the great work Wayne!

Mrs. Heath's 8th-Grade JH Exploration Class will present our Capstone Projects tomorrow morning in the Peck School cafeteria from approximately 8:15 am to 9:15 am. The students have been researching an assigned Michigan college/university for the past week to be able to provide a presentation to our Juniors and Seniors about possible higher education opportunities in Michigan. Please ensure your child has rehearsed their information tonight to be able to effectively communicate the details they learned. I wanted to also extend an invitation to 8th-grade families to attend these presentations tomorrow, so you are able to see how hard your children worked on this project. Thank you for your support.
